Pho Dakao Offering Special Discount During Grand Opening Week

Owner Dang Pham cut the ceremonial ribbon along with Assistant Framingham Town Manager Jennifer Thompson, Framingham Selectmen Dennis Giombetti and Michael Bower, Framingham EDIC Chair Michael Gaitlin, Framingham Police Chief Ken Ferguson, Framingham Deputy Police Chief Kevin Slattery, Framingham Downtown Renaissance Executive Director Holli Andrews, as well as several Town Meeting members and other Framingham volunteers.

Through March 7, Pho Dakao is offering 20 percent off its menu.

Appetizers on the menu start at $4.50 for crispy spring rolls and fresh summer rolls, featuring pork, shrimp, vermicelli and lettuce wrapped in rice paper and served cold with a peanut sauce.

A sampling of other appetizers include sauteed mussels ($9.95), soft shell crab ($11.95), Vietnamese crepe ($10.50), wonton soup ($5) and chicken or beef teriyaki ($4.75).

Vietnamese soups and salads are priced under $9.

Pho, traditional Vietnamese beef broth soup, served with scallions, onions and cilantro, which can be ordered with chicken, rare steak, and several other options.

The salads are a mixture of shredded carrots, cabbage, mint leaves, onions, with your choice of chicken or shrimp or both served with a home-made roasted peanut dressing.

The Vermicelli entrees are served with shredded lettuce, bean sprouts, mint leaves, basil and roasted peanuts, along with your choice of shrimp, pork, chicken, beef at under $10.

Entrees range from $10 to $15, and include traditional Vietnamese dishes, Thai and Asian favorites.

Entrees from the menu include:
* Sizzling Mongolian beef
* Chicken sauteed with lemongrass
* Red snapper
* Rare steak marinated with lime juice
* Beef or chicken sauteed with ginger.

The place, which formerly housed Limey's Pub, has undergone a huge transformation and the atmosphere is elegant yet casual.

The signature drink is a mai tai; but the bar menu includes white and red wines, cocktails like margaritas and mojitos and a handful of specials including a key lime martini. The non-alcoholic drink menu also includes traditional Thai ice tea, as well as fresh and jasmine limeade.

Located at 101 Concord St, Pho Dakao is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
