Important Congressional Debate in Framingham this Sunday Night

The last time someone new was sent to Congress from Framingham, he served for 32 years.  Barney Frank was elected the same night as Ronald Reagan.  Others who have served us over the years, Chet Atkins and Ed Markey, were redistricted sitting members of Congress.

Framingham residents have a wonderful and very rare opportunity this Sunday evening, September 22, to meet each of the Democratic Congressional Candidates vying for the 5th District seat left vacant by Ed Markey’s election to the U.S. Senate.

Framingham State College will be hosting a debate between the seven candidates which will be the ONLY televised debate in the entire race.  The preliminary election is Tuesday October 15th and this will be a wonderful opportunity for you to see the people who want to represent you in action.  The moderator for the evening will be Democratic State Committee Chair, John Walsh.

The debate will take place in Dwight Auditorium and will begin sharply at 7:00 PM and end precisely at 9:00 PM.  Because it is a Sunday evening there will be plenty of parking available.
