The Framingham 14U Lou Tompkins All Stars defeated Cambridge 5-2 on Sunday to win the Tournament of Champions in the B Division. Evan Hermanson pitched two innings and Cam Klein the final five to shut down the Cambridge offense.
Framingham took an early lead scoring one in the first inning when George Tremblay doubled and Evan Hermanson drove him in with a two out base hit. Cambridge quickly answered with two in the 2nd inning to take the lead 2-1. Still down 2-1 in the 5th inning, Framingham started the inning with back to back base hits by Zack Modica and Cameron Klein. Evan Hermanson then reached on a throwing error allowing Modica to score. Chris Grome singled to right driving in Klein and Hermanson and gave Framingham a 4-2 lead. Framingham added an insurance run in the 6th when Brady Bykowski led off with a base hit up the middle. Jared Brockway bunted him over to second allowing Zack Modica to drive him in with a single to left. That proved to be plenty as Cameron Klein got the final three outs in the 7th to seal the victory.
Framingham went undefeated in the TOC playoffs fueled by tremendous hitting by George Tremblay, Nick Aivazian, and Brady Bykowski, dominant pitching by Chris Grome and Cam Klein, as well as stellar defensive performances by Jared Brockway, Jake Modica, and Zack Modica.

Consistent performances by Will Slater, Evan Marinofsky, and Ryan Blake during the regular season led Framingham to a 20-4 final record allowing the town to capture it's 1st B division titled since 2004.
A key contributor throughout the regular season and beginning of the playoffs was Austan Bellefueille. He was injured midway through the playoffs and was unable to compete in the final two games. As a great show of sportsmanship, the Framingham players decided on their own to wear his number 42 on their faces and dedicated the game and ultimate victory to their injured teammate.
