5 Things You Need to Know Today: Aug. 15

School and movie nights are just around the corner.

1. The venue has changed for the PAC's performance of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

2. The first Friday Movie Night of the fall will be held at at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at the library. They will be screening, "The Artist," winner of five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

3. With the start of school just around the corner, the American Heart Association is reminding parents of the importance of packing a healthy lunch. Today, about 1 in 3 American kids and teens is overweight or obese. Packing a healthy lunch at home will help ensure that kids get the nutrition they need without all the fat, calories and salt found in convenience foods and many school lunch meals.
