4. Another restaurant on Route 9 has closed. Oliveira's Steak House has closed. The Brazilian-style steakhouse and buffet restaurant, where waiters strolled about the dining space carrying flanks, ready to slice and carve at a patron's call, a reader tells Patch closed sometime in January. We stopped by this week and it was boarded up.

5. As per the Framingham Patch election guide, each candidate for town-wide office was allowed to submit a political announcement on their candidacy by last week. The town election is Tuesday, April. 9.
