5 Things You Need To Know Today: Jan 10

Framingham Class of 2026, Beatles music at the main library, African music and free singing class at Performing Arts Center all featured in today's column.

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. The main Framingham Library will host the free presentation The Music of the Beatles tonight at 7.

2. Child love to sing? Sign them up for a free chorus class today from 4:30 to 5:30 at the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest. Class is for students in grades 2-6. Special guest for the class is George Akinkouye, a Nigerian-born songwriter will be teaching some African music to students. Any child who loves to sing can attend! No experience necessary! To register, please call 508-875-5554. Starting next week, the chorus will meet for 10 weeks at a cost of $160.

3. Free Capoeira Classes for kids at 6:30 p.m.

4. Wanted: Kindergarteners for the Class of 2026. Framingham Public Schools' Parent Information Center is continuing to register kindergarten students for fall 2013.

5. Congrats to the Framingham High boys hockey team who defeated Newton North 3-1, to bring their record to 5-5 this season.
