The Framingham Sierra Club will host a free educational forum on the future of transportation systems Tuesday, June 14, at the Framingham Main Library. One of the speakers will be a representative to the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail.
The Framingham Sierra Club will host a free educational forum on the future of transportation systems Tuesday, June 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Costin Room at the .
Current transportation systems are among the leading contributors to greenhouse gasses, says the Sierra Club.
The forum will include several key speakers and audience discussion.

State Rep. Chris Walsh, a member of the Legislature’s Transportation Committee, will discuss legislation related to transportation in Massachusetts and the prospects for developments in Metrowest.
Ed Carr, administrator of the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority, will speak on the state of transportation in Framingham and the plans of the Authority for future development.

John Stasik, Framingham representative to the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail, will discuss the current status of and future opportunities for developing local rail trails for such non-motorized uses as cycling, jogging and walking.
