In what has been so far one of the most civil of campaigns for elected office in recent memory, the Democratic candidates seeking to fill the vacant 5th Congressional District seat since Ed Markey was elected US Senator in June will have one final chance to debate each other before next week's party primary.
At 6 p.m., New England Cable Network's Jim Braude will moderate the televised debate with the five leading candidates in the Democratic primary for Congressional seat.
The candidates are:
- State Sen. Will Brownsberger,
- State Sen. Katherine Clark,
- Peter Koutoujian, Sheriff of Middlesex County and former State Representative,
- State Rep. Carl Sciortino
- State Sen. Karen Spilka.
