UPDATED: Half Dozen Running for 2 Framingham Selectmen Seats

There is no race for Framingham School Committee.

There will not be a race for Keefe Technical School Committee. William Lynch submitted 56 signatures but only 47 were verified as voters, so he will not be on the ballot, said Lynch Wednesday morning.

Six individuals are running for Framingham Selectmen.

Tuesday, was the deadline to submit nomination papers for town-wide office in Framingham. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1.

Six individuals - 3 women and 3 men - are running for two seats on the Framingham Board of Selectmen. 

Current Selectmen Chair Dennis Giombetti announced in December, he would not for another term.

Incumbent Selectman Laurie Lee will be joined on the ballot with Cheryl Tully Stoll, Dennis Paulsen, Deborah Butler, Doug Freeman and Ryan Gagne.

For Framingham School Committee there are three seats on the ballot, with incumbents David Miles and Carol Phalen not seeking re-election. On the ballot will be appointed School Committee member Donald Taggert, Jim Stockless and Michelle Brosnahan.

There will be a race for Keefe Technical School Committee with newcomer William Lynch, a Keefe Tech graduate, challenging incumbents A.J. Mulvey and Michael Rossi.

Incumbent Planning Board member Christine Long is running unopposed.

Town Moderator Teri S. Banerjee and Town Clerk Valerie M. Mulvey are running unopposed, too.

Feb. 4 is the last day for incumbent Town Meeting members to submit their intention to run for re-election.

Feb. 11 is the last day for new Town meeting members to submit nomination papers with a minimum of 25 signatures.
