Construct Learning Open House

Welcome to our Open House!

Construct Learning is an Educational Resource Center in downtown Natick for homeschooled teens aged 12-19 who are ready to explore self-directed learning as an alternative to school. It is necessary to be homeschooled to attend Construct learning. We will help you through the process of identifying the homeschooling process in your district, and helping you to register.

Opened in September 2013, we are open Mondays through Thursdays, leaving Fridays free for your own activities, or intern / volunteer opportunities. Our calendar will follow the Natick Schools Calendar, observing Monday holidays, Snow Days, vacation weeks etc. (but NOT Early Release Days).

Construct Learning has no fixed curriculum, no exams or assessments. Members take their time to identify their passions and devise a learning plan around them, with the help of a one-on-one mentor. We will provide teaching in requested subjects, and connect you with local resources for learning, volunteer, and internship opportunities. We will also arrange field trips and visits to places of interest. In our first three weeks we have visited the MIT Museum, made birthday cake and fried zucchini, started a course on the Victorians, studied algebra and SAT prep, played Frisbee and drawn Zentangles, had many discussions about all kinds of topics, taken hikes, and worked at on-line classes in Computer Programming and Psychology.
