Nia Dance Celebration featuring New England's most rockin' cover band - Better Her Than Me!

Come celebrate as Studio Joy turns one!Fitness Studio Celebrates its first anniversary with Live Music Nia Class
NORTHBOROUGH - January 14, 2014 - Studio Joy, a fitness studio specializing in Nia, is having its One-year Birthday Community Celebration featuring New England’s most rockin’ dance band - “Better Her Than Me” on Saturday, February 8th from 6:30 pm to 9 pm at 40 Church Street (First Parish Unitarian Church Hall) in Northborough.  
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience a live music Nia class followed by refreshments, raffle prizes and a dance party celebration.  Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with co-owners and Nia trained instructors Jenny Silverberg of Westborough and Amy Podolsky of Sudbury.  Studio Joy has partnered with “Better Her Than Me,” one of Boston’s best cover bands, to create a sensational “raising the roof” birthday bash featuring favorite dance songs.
Nia, a fitness class designed to condition your body and wake up your life, has exploded on the scene in recent years.  For the last 30 year, Nia instructors have been perfecting the science, craft and art of Nia which blends dance, healing and martial arts to create a powerful fitness synergy.  Students benefit from an invigorating, yet safe and enjoyable workout done barefoot to inspiring music.  Step into your own joyful journey with Nia, and positively shape the way feel, look, think and live. 
Jenny Silverberg is a Black Belt Certified Nia Instructor; Nia 5 Stages Teacher; holds a Master’s Degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Lesley University; has presented at many health and wellness seminars and expos; is an artist, wife, choreographer, and mother of three children.  Jenny has lost 30lbs doing Nia.  “I believe through education, dedication and the ability to create safe, healthy, fun and successful programs, seminars and workshops anyone who wishes to enrich their body, mind and spirit through Nia simply can.  I’ve been practicing Nia for over 8 years and it is my life’s purpose to help others unlock their full potential” said Silverberg.
Business Partner and co-owner Amy Podolsky is a Blue Belt Certified Nia Instructor; holds a Bachelors of Science in Communications from Boston University; former news producer/researcher for TV shows most notably  7  News and ZOOM; supervisor and educator at Camp Sewataro in Sudbury and co-creator of Sewataro Sprouts.  “After struggling for many years with an eating disorder and exercise compulsion, I discovered Nia in 2008 and it has made a tremendous impact on my daily life as I worked hard to achieve a healthy body and a peaceful mind,” said Podolsky.
