Frank Addivinola's Campaign Gets a Boost From Supporters, Howie Carr

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 22, 2013

The campaign of Frank Addivinola for the 5th Congressional District received a boost when about 100 people turned out to meet Frank at the reception in Waltham on Thursday night at the Chateau Restaurant in downtown Waltham.

Boston radio personality and popular book author Howie Carr spoke in support of Frank’s campaign and pointed out a ring of scandals that are damaging the election prospects of Democrats in the final run-up to the special election on December 10th.  Howie Carr humorously noted the numerous scandals besetting the Democrats at the moment including the faulty roll out of Obamacare, the Democrats' inability to balance budgets without raising taxes, and the evils of one-party dominance in a state such as Massachusetts.

Also speaking was a politically active resident of Medford who immigrated to America 50 years ago from Italy to become a productive participant in the American system; he spoke passionately about his opposition to Obamacare.  He praised the United States current health care system and spoke about socialized medicine in his native Italy and other European countries where patients die in hospitals’ hallways waiting to receive care.  He spoke of his love for America and expressed a deep concern for the direction the country is headed in.

Frank Addivinola spoke about the need to repeal the Affordable Care Act because it places an unfair burden on Americans, lowers the future quality of health care and kills jobs.  He also addressed the need for smarter immigration policies that support people who come to America legally.  And he restated his pledge to serve no more than four terms in Congress, to avoid becoming a career Washington politician disconnected from the needs of the district.

Frank also criticized his Democratic opponent, State Senator Katherine Clark, for ducking seven debates since the October 15th Primary.  Her refusal to meet Frank Addivinola in direct exchanges of arguments denies voters their ability to make an informed decision.  Sen. Clark's no-show at the recent Fox 25 debate, in which an unused microphone sat on her empty seat, was only one of a string of refusals by her to appear and debate the issues.

Frank Addivinola continues on the campaign this week and next, bringing his message of economic growth, more jobs and better government services to the voters of the 5th Congressional District, as the race heats up before the December 10th Special Congressional Election.
