Over the weekend, 100 children and their families attending a fundraiser at Energy Fitness & Gymnastics in Natick, called Energy for Emma.

The event raised $1,957 for Team Emma and the Tierney Family of Framingham, said Sarah Smith.

Emma is a second grade student at Dunning Elementary School battling cancer.

Emma's friends made EMMA STRONG bracelets - 235 of them for everyone in attendance Saturday, Jan. 25.

"When people wear them, we want them to think of and or pray for EMMA," said Smith. "We are "Team Emma."

Smith said she and the organizers wanted to thank Anastasia's Oven & Grill, Liberty's Famous Pizza, and Papa Gino's on Route 9 west for the donated pizzas.

Colores Kids of Natick provided face painting.

Companies who donated raffle prizes included Chocolate Therapy, Jump Around, Game Underground, Trombetta's Farm, Chez Bella Nails and Spa, Nail Time, Laserzone, Learning Express, CJ's Northside Grill, Boston Duck Tours and The Worcester Sharks.

"A special thank you needs to be made to Randy Elkin, owner of Energy Fitness & Gymnastics in Natick for donating his gym to us," said Smith.
