Former Framingham Couple Loses Home in 3-Alarm Fire, Husband Diagnosed with Cancer

An account has been set up to help the former Framingham couple in their 70s.

On Wednesday, April 23, Carole and Bob Brown lost almost everything in a 3-alarm house fire in Sarasota, Florida.

In the same week, Bob Brown found out he has bladder cancer and will need surgery.

Originally from Framingham, the couple in their 70s, are now living in a hotel, said family friend Shana Calvao.

"Please find it in your heart to help a local family in need," said Calvao, who set up a GoFundme.com account to help the couple who retired to Florida. "Imagine if this were your parents. Pay it forward. Any amount helps."

The couple have two grown children - Deena and Michael. Deena Brown Phipps owns Nails by Deena in Framingham.
