UPDATED: Framingham Man To Run Boston Marathon for Boys & Girls Clubhouse

A Framingham man plans to run the 2014 Boston Marathon to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest, specifically the Pearl Street Clubhouse.

Stuart Hurowitz, 46, of Framingham has never run a marathon.

But in about four months, he plan to run the 2014 Boston Marathon to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest, specifically the Pearl Street Clubhouse.

When the clubhouse opened in 2008, it served about 75 kids. Today, it  serves more than 250 kids a day.

Earlier this month, Hurowitz was awarded one of the Town of Framingham's 25 Boston marathon bibs in a lottery.

"In four short months, I need to go from a 46 year old un-shape regular Dorito eating, regular short distance runner, to Marathon finisher," wrote Hurowitz on his GoFundMe.com page. "I am raising money for the cost of the Marathon Bib, and the Boys and Girls Club of Framingham, and perhaps some marathon gear."
