Fund Established for Family of Framingham High Student, Who Died

A GoFundMe fund has been established to help the family of Evlyn Rodriguez Tobar, who died this past week.

A fund has been established for a family of a Framingham High freshman, who died recently.

Framingham High Principal Michael Welch announced to staff and students on Monday morning Framingham High freshman Evlyn Rodriguez Tobar had died of a "sudden accidental death." He also issued a release to the media.

Flyer News announced yesterday she had taken her own life. And Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin announced the same news on the final night of Town Meeting and set a fund had been established to help the family.

"Evlyn joined Framingham High from her native Honduras in late October. Evlyn had many friends at Framingham High School and was always one who reached out to show concern and support for others. Evlyn touched many people in her life and in this school. She will be greatly missed," states the GoFundMe site established by Cindie MacDonald Pagano yesterday, May 21.

Framingham High would like to reach out to the community and all of her friends to help Evlyn's family during this very difficult time," states the GoFundMe page.

In 15 hours (as of 5 a.m.), 35 people had raised $1,875.

The GoFund Me has a goal of $5,000. If you would like to help, you can donate by clicking here.
