Fund Established to Help Children of Former Framingham High Graduate

The children lost their mother in November 2013 after a battle with cancer, and lost their father on Sunday.

On. Nov. 11, 2013 Kayley and Patrick lost their mother, Kristen Furbush, to cancer. She was diagnosed just months earlier.

On Sunday, the two children lost their dad Stephen Furbush, 39, who died in his sleep. A funeral mass is scheduled for Thursday.

Stephen was a 1992 graduate of Framingham High and a former coach at his high school. His parents still live in Framingham, along with many of Stephen's close friends.

Kristen's parents, who live in Braintree, will raise the children now. The couple had lived in Canton.

When Kristen died, Stephen established a fund for their children. The fund was set up to help ensure that Kayley and Patrick would have every opportunity to follow in their mother's footsteps and achieve great things in life, wrote Stephen on SharingCounts.com.

With Stephen's death, family and friends are asking that those wanting to help donate to the fund for the children, established at Wellesley Bank.
