Timothy's Toy Box Needs Your Help This Holiday Season

This year, there are almost 300 kids in need and "we need just a few more online donations to finish up the season," said Timothy's Toy Box founder Sharon Gilbert of Framingham.

Sharon Gilbert and her son Timothy started Timothy's Toy Box in 2007, to help local children in need during the holiday season.

This year, there are almost 300 kids in need and "we need just a few more online donations to finish up the season," said Gilbert.

The first year in 2007, 200 toys were collected. In 2008, 600 toys.

Last year in 2012, when Sharon, Timothy and their non-profit organization was honored at the annual Salute to Framingham, 1,600 toys were collected.

Toys collected are delivered to local homeless shelters, schools and churches along with the wrapping paper, tape, scissors, tags, batteries and blankets to the parents so they have everything they would need to make the holidays special.

Earlier this week, Framingham Baseball held its 10th Annual toy drive for Timothy's Toy Box but more toys and donations are still needed.

You can help by doing one of the following:
