More than 100 youths traded their Halloween candy for a goody bag Saturday with Framingham Dental Center.

The candy give back filled 19 boxes to the brim of candy in support of Operation Gratitude, said Framingham Dental Center.

The organization's mission is to lift morale in the military community by sending care packages addressed to individual military personnel deployed overseas, to their children left behind, as well as veterans, and wounded warriors.

Framingham Dental Center is now running a contest on its Facebook page to guess the weight of the candy. The winner will receive 4 free movie passes.

Dr. Stephen Raisman pledged to donate one toothbrush for every pound of candy collected.

All candy back participants were invited to write letters of gratitude to the troops to accompany the candy donation.

Framingham Dental Staff volunteered to help run the event and opted to have their wages earned donated directly to Operation Gratitude.

Participating youth got to have their photo taken with Tooth Fairy and to be entered into a grand prize raffle for an iPAD mini. The winner was Talon Hayes. In addition to the iPAD mini he received a Sonicare electric toothbrush, $15 itunes gift card, and $10 gift card to Friendly's Ice Cream.

The goody bag, each youth received, contained a Framingham Dental Center toothbrush, toothpaste, Chapstick, pencil, and a free ice cream cone certificate courtesy of Friendly's of Framingham on Temple Street.
