MutualOne Donation Will Help Train Service Dog for Veteran with Disabilities

MutualOneCharitable Foundation donated $1,400 to VFW Post 929 in Framingham to cover the cost of training a young puppy as a future assistance dog for a veteran with disabilities.

MutualOneCharitable Foundation Chair Robert P. Lamprey announced the Foundation recently donated $1,400 to VFW Post 929 in Framingham to cover the cost of training a young puppy as a future assistance dog for a veteran with disabilities.

The pup will undergo two years of specialized obedience and skills training by inmates at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution (MCI) in Framingham.

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation is a continuation of the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation following the 2012 merger of Framingham Co-operative Bank and Natick Federal Savings Bank.

Since it was originally established in 1998, the Foundation has donated over $2.3 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives that improve and enhance the quality of life in Framingham, Natick, and surrounding communities.
