Sam Swisher Named Framingham Rotarian of the Year

Sam Swisher has been a member of of the Rotary Club of Framingham since 1991.

For 23 years, Sam Swisher has been a member of of the Rotary Club of Framingham. This week, for the third time, he was awarded Rotarian of the Year.

Rotary Club of Framingham President Phil Reimann described Swisher as an uber volunteer. 

"The old saying if you want something done give it to a busy person really applies to Sam," Reimann said in presenting the award to him Thursday night at the Framingham club's annual awards dinner at the Framingham Country Club.

A member of the Community Service Committee for the Rotary Club of Framingham, Swisher actively participated in the annual auction, the craft fair, the pancake breakfast and the Concerts on the Green booth.

His garage is filled with all things Rotary and is always willing to help out, said Reimann.

Swisher previously was named Rotarian of the Year in 1995 and 2005. He was club president in 1998.
