C Team Remains Undefeated: A and D Team Also Score Wins

A recap of Sunday's Framingham Youth Football game against Walpole.

Framingham Youth Football A, C and D teams defeated Walpole this past weekend.

D Team: Starting with the D team's 22-0 victory over the rebels, the boys displayed their ability behind them, coming off last week's loss against Weymouth. The defense was stellar, barely allowing Walpole any breathing room.

C Team: The C team flexed their muscles, rolling to a 48-20 victory. Evan Sleight led the team down the field to score on the opening drive.

After the half ,Sleight and Francis would find the endzone again, with Jason Klein stopping the Walpole runningback on a 4th and short situation.

Derek Spindler would deliver the final blow to the Rebels with a touchdown run of his own.

B Team: The B team is still in search of that elusive first win, but there are several positives to take from Sunday's game. First, there are the strong performances by runningbacks Jonathon Guertin and Dedrick Meuse. Next is the team's defense, which recovered a fumble in the red zone and also had an interception by Meuse. Thirdly, the team displayed resiliency, playing every single minute of the game despite being down towards the end.

A Team: The A team defeated Walpole 12-6 in a game that down to the wire and decided in the final 30 seconds.

The Flyers started off strong, with Edrick Meuse ripping off an 80-yard run to set the tone. The Flyers would then stop the Rebels in their own territory multiple times, including right before the end I the first half. Orlando Rosario, Jared Brockway, and Jimmy Gavigen, all in the secondary, disallowed any completed passes into the endzone.

With the score 6-0 Framingham, Walpole would not score the entire 3rd quarter. The Flyers turned the ball over, but the Rebels suffered a 3 and out, thanks to a huge tackle by Jimmy Santiago.

With 1:51 left in the 4th quarter, Walpole would score to tie it. The score would remain tied due to the failed extra point conversion.

After the kickoff, it was Charles James who uncorked a 50-yard run that put Framingham at the half yard line of Rebel territory.

After wasting some time on the clock, Edrick Meuse would punch through to the endzone to put Framingham ahead 12-6. Orlando Rosario sealed the deal in the final seconds, intercepting a pass from the Walpole quarterback.

With this win, the A team stands at 5-0, like the C team, and are now leading the division.

Next week, the Flyers host Natick and Wayland-Weston. Be sure to come out and support the kids! Go Flyers
