Framingham Resident, Sudbury School Employee Dies from Appendix Cancer

A service for Joanne Kogan is planned for Wednesday, June 12 in Natick.

According to Sudbury Public Schools Superintendent Anne Wilson, Haynes Elementary School Guidance Councilor Joanne Kogan has died.

In a letter to parents, Wilson said Kogan had been ill.

According to her obituary, Kogan had been suffering from appendix cancer.

Kogan worked at Haynes for 25 years.

"Joanne touched the lives of many students, staff members, and parents - she will be sorely missed but never forgotten, as her positive impact on the SPS community will live on," Wilson said in the letter. "We extend our deepest sympathy and support to Joanne's family at this difficult time."
 
A service for Kogan will be held today, June 12 at 11:30 a.m. in Natick.

She was a resident of Framingham.
