Funeral Mass Thursday for Robert J. Couturier, 59

Robert James Couturier, 59, a resident of Texas for nearly 40 years, died Monday, April 21, 2014 in Houston from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Augustus and Mary (Keelan) Couturier.

A graduate of Arlington High School and South West Texas State University, he worked as an accountant and as a professional photographer through his business, Back Bay Images.

He was a veteran of active service with the US Army from 1972-1975 and was honorably discharged in 1978. An outdoorsman, he loved to fish.

He is survived by his siblings: David and Andre Couturier both of Newburyport and Marysusan Couturier & her husband John Olson of Framingham and 2 nephews, Matthew and Patrick Olson.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, April 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday May 1 at 9 a.m. at St. Bridget's Church, 830 Worcester Rd., Framingham. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in his name to: the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA. 01701.
