Keefe Tech Graduate, Army Vet Joshua Hetel, 30, Died Following Car Crash

Joshua Joseph Hetel, 30, died from injuries sustained in an automobile crash.

Joshua Joseph Hetel, 30, of Groveland passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile crash.

He was born in Haverhill on Aug. 20, 1983, and was a graduate of Keefe Tech High School in Framingham.

At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving for over 12 years and was honorably discharged at the age of 29. He did two tours overseas in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hetel was employed as a corrections officer at the Federal Medical Center at Ft. Devens. 

He leaves his mother Jayne R. Gore of Groveland, his fiance Alyssa Masucci, sisters Alexis A. and her husband Eddie Revas of Bradford and Janel J. Hetel of Haverhill, his brother Andrew J. Clark of Groveland, step father John P. Clark of Framingham, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral was held Saturday, Oct. 5 at St. John the Baptist Church, 110 Lincoln Ave. Haverhill. Interment with Military Honors was at Riverview Cemetery in Groveland.
