Services Sunday For Retired Framingham Elementary Teacher Florence Raymond, 83

Florence Raymond worked as a second grade teacher for the Framingham Public Schools for 40 years, retiring in 2005.

Retired Framingham elementary school teacher Florence (Gure) Raymond, 83 of Worcester, died peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at The Meadows in Leicester. 

Florence is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Norman C. Raymond. 

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Olga (Danko) Gure. 

She graduated from Worcester Public Schools. She received her Bachelor’s degree in teaching from Worcester State College and later received her Master’s degree in theology from Boston University. 

Raymond worked as a second grade teacher for the Framingham Public Schools for 40 years, retiring in 2005. 

Calling hours are Sunday, Jan. 12 from 1-3 p.m. at the Mercadante funeral Home at 30 Plantation St. in Worcester with a memorial service immediately following at 3 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
