5 Things You Need To Know Today: Feb. 1.

Milford Superintendent Robert Tremblay will be in town interviewing to be the new Framingham Superintendent of Schools; parent and community Q&A forum starts at Cameron Middle at 5 p.m.

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation

1.The second of three finalists for Framingham Public Schools Superintendent will be in town today.will tour a couple of the schools today, meet with town leaders and school employees. At 5 p.m., he will be made available to parents and the community at an hour-long Q&A forum at At 7:30 p.m. he will be publicly interviewed by the Framingham School Committee for about 2-hours. Following the public interview at the , there will be a small reception.

On Monday, finalist William Hart, the assistant superintendent of schools at Pentucket Regional was interviewed. The School Committee plans to hire a new school leader on Monday, Feb. 13.

2. is investigating the cause of the Firefighters from Framingham, Southborough, Natick and Ashland battled the 2-alarm blaze Monday night, which began around 6 p.m. At one point, firefighters were ordered out of the building, worried the structure could collapse. The  three-story building, containing four apartments, is listed as owned by Jose Batista Pereira of Somerville.

3. This is Catholic Schools Week. is holding its curriculum fair from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by an Amazing Hero Art assembly.

4.  In an effort to promote safety and help prevent workplace violence incidents from occurring, is hosting a Workplace Violence Prevention Program for members of Framingham Community Partners this afternoon.

5. Framingham's , a favorite at the Amazing Things Cabaret Show, brings her comedic side to the with a 30-plus minute feature showcasing the funnier side of cabaret. Show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets $6.
