5 Things You Need To Know Today; Jan. 16

January is National Skating Month; there is public skating at Loring Arena today from 10 a.m. to noon.

1. Today is the observation of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Town Hall, the town's schools and libraries are all closed today. Trash will be on a one-day delayed schedule all week.
