5 Things You Need To Know Today: Oct 11

Be a part of a music video shoot at The Chicken Bone, yoga, small fire on Framingham State campus and Imagination Library to chug into Framingham all featured in today column.

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1.  Ever dreamed of being in a video on MTV? Well, you can't star in one but you can be a part of the crew for a music video tonight. The Hootchies, a Northern Fried Rock band, will be filming a music video at The Chicken Bone  at 9. The band described itself as a "combination of Southern Rock, New Orleans Funk, Reggae and Bar Band Music sprinkled with an occasional instrumental tune for flavor." The attached flyer promises the crew a beer (and maybe they will add some of The Bone's famous wings?).

2. There is a Community Yoga class at Edwards Church at 9:30 a.m. For all levels of expertise as the teacher offers modifications to fit a variety of abilities.  Cost is by donation; suggested donation $12.

3. With a grant from the Sudbury Foundation, the Framingham-based United Way of Tri-County plans to launch Created by country singer Dolly Parton, Imagination Library gives every registered preschool child a book a month, from the time he or she is born until the child reaches kindergarten, 60 books in total, delivered straight to their mailbox.

4. There was a small fire at Hemenway Hall on the campus of Framingham State University Wednesday morning.
