Cj's Northside is in Nobscot at the old Riley's - locally owned and operated. Tavern is downtown, if you are coming down Route 135 from Ashland, take a right at Route 126 and I believe your next left. Only open after 3 p.m. Has musical acts at night.

Thanks ... I've added it to the poll. *** Keep in mind if the poll vote is close or a tie; the comments "here" will be the tie-breaker.

The Tavern in Framingham has phenomenal steak and cheese!
Mr. Victor February 28, 2012 at 09:50 PM
The steak and cheese at The Tavern gets my vote as the best steak and cheese in town.
Chris Gagen February 29, 2012 at 05:03 AM
I have never had a better cheesesteak then the one at CJ's...
Matt Fontano February 29, 2012 at 01:22 PM
I travel from Florida for CJ's roast beef. It's unparalleled.
Robert Fucci (Editor) February 29, 2012 at 08:50 PM
Best roast beef sandwich you will ever have is at the Northside Grille!!!
Quimp March 01, 2012 at 01:03 AM
Cj's is the best hands down!!! All the other places need to pack up and move out of town or maybe change their names to CJ's!!!!
Eggcetera, Etc. March 01, 2012 at 03:24 AM
Thanks for your vote Amy! I didn't even know about this contest...I hope the Framingham Patch will recognize Eggcetera, Etc. as one of the greatest new restaurants in town (I don't think they've been in yet)!! We also have awesome CHEESE GRILLERS & we just added BAGEL BURGERS to the menu -- talk about a great sandwiches!
Eggcetera, Etc. March 01, 2012 at 04:00 AM
@Susan -- can you please add Eggcetera, Etc?? We've only been open a few months & ppl are still finding out about us, so we may not get a ton of votes, but if nothing else, maybe it will help to bring awareness to the community that Eggcetera, Etc., in addition to our other menu items, also offers an EGG SANDWICH (we call it an OmWich), a create-your-own STIR-FRY or SALAD WRAP, BAGEL BURGERS, and really good CHEESE GRILLERS... Thank you!
Susan Petroni (Editor) March 01, 2012 at 04:48 AM
Added you to the poll.
Shelly Cobb Cichowlas March 01, 2012 at 10:08 AM
Where are you located? I love egg salad sandwiches!
Julie Dennehy March 01, 2012 at 01:32 PM
The new Pantry restaurant at the Verve, Crowne Plaza Natick has some amazing sandwiches, but their fresh homemade Garden Burger is my favorite. I guess the Pantry is too new to make the list of restaurants, but for future reference.
Susan Petroni (Editor) March 01, 2012 at 01:40 PM
@Julie - did you see if natick.patch.com had it on its poll??
Ariel Sarousi March 01, 2012 at 02:40 PM
It's too bad that most of the eateries listed are mega-chains. Hardly any of these are exclusive to Framingham. I would suggest the Pizza wagon's Buffalo Tender Sub. I'm not sure if it's on the menu, but they will make it if asked. Crisp, juicy, spicy chicken is something I sorely miss. I don't think the pizza is all that great as I believe the crust is pre-made, bu the Buffalo chicken tender sub is amazing.
Kim Poness March 01, 2012 at 03:11 PM
Bagel Burgers? Oh my goodness!
Julie Dennehy March 01, 2012 at 04:56 PM
@Susan: they don't, but I just commented there. The restaurant is right on the Fram/Natick line... literally... so I forget which town it's in sometimes! ;)
Susan Petroni (Editor) March 01, 2012 at 06:39 PM
WOW - 350 votes. Keeping voting until 9 a.m. tomorrow, March 2. @Ariel - yes there are a lot of chains on the list but the top voter getters at the moment are the local establishments - CJ's Northside Grill, The Tavern, Waverly Market, Gianni's La Cantina, The Sub-Way, Kugel's Deli and J&M Diner.
Amanda McCarty March 02, 2012 at 12:50 AM
CJ'S Northside Grill is by far The Best!!! Sandwiches, Burgers, Seafood, BREAKFAST and More! Always great food to enjoy... no matter what your in the mood for! And even better.. Friendly people and a awesome atmosphere! Go Red Sox!
Susan Petroni (Editor) March 02, 2012 at 04:48 AM
Deadline to vote is 9 a.m. tomorrow, March 2.
