UPDATED: 3-Car Crash Shut Down Central Street Thursday Morning

This is why Central Street was closed for a couple of hours on Thursday.

Central Street was shut down for a portion of Thursday morning due to a 3-car crash at the intersection of Central and Johnson in Framingham around 8:30 a.m.

The road is open as of 10:30 a.m.

The crash involved a van from Karipouzis (KCR) and two other vehicles.

Three individuals to taken to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries, according to Framingham Police Lt. Harry Wareham.

Framingham Police are investigation the crash.

Framingham Police said a woman in a station wagon stopped to take a left turn onto Johnson Street from Central Street.

The driver of the vehicle behind her did not see the station wagon stop and impacted that stopped vehicle, said Lt. Wareham.

When the second driver hit the station wagon hit propelled her car into the eastbound lane of Central Street, said police.

The van ended up partially on top of the second vehicle, trapping the driver, a woman, in the car, until first responders could remove her, said Lt. Wareham.
