5 Things You Need To Know Today: Dec. 23

Caroling and hayrides at Eastleigh Farm tonight, Santa skating at Loring Monday, Police delivering meals on Christmas day and Sisterhood of temple Beth Am cooking dinner for residents on Christmas morning all featured in today's column.

1.The grande finale tractor pulled, hayride caroling at Eastleigh Farm is today at 5 p.m. Bring the family, Enjoy mulled cider or a cup of hot cocoa with REAL marshmallows.

2.Residents, who would like a meal, are asked to call Sabrina's at 508-872-8826 and place their orders today, Dec. 23 between noon and 8 p.m. Please leave your address and a contact phone number as well as which meal you work like. (meal options are below.)

  • Meal # 1:  Pork Fried Rice, Chicken Wings & Crab Rangoon

3. Santa Claus is Coming to Town ... to skate at Loring Arena tomorrow, Dec. 24. The Framingham High Hockey Team is inviting families to come to the arena between 11 a.m. 2 p.m. to skate with Santa. $5 per skater and $20 per family. Admission includes a slice of pizza, beverage and a baked treat.

4. Sisterhood of Temple Beth Am will be cooking and preparing four complete turkey dinners for group homes in the Framingham area on Christmas Day. They will begin cooking at 8 a.m. with plans to deliver the meals around 1 p.m.

5. Christine Bradley was in a minor car accident Thursday, Dec. 20 about 2 p.m. at the corner of Spring and Franklin streets. She tells Framingham Patch "there were several cars around when it happened and I'm trying to get in touch with anyone who witnessed the accident."
