Ashland Man, 33, Killed in Motorcycle Crash Monday Afternoon

The crash took place on Route 93 on Memorial Day.

The following was released by Mass. State Police Monday:

Monday afternoon at approximately 3:27 p.m., troopers from the Milton Barracks responded to a one-vehicle motorcycle crash on Interstate 93 Southbound, prior to exit 2 in Canton.  

Initial reports reported that the driver of a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle had at some point lost control and crashed.

The driver, a 33-year-old male from Ashland, was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was determined to be deceased as a result of injuries sustained from the crash. The name has not been released.

The left two lanes were closed and will remain closed until the scene is clear.

The remaining facts and circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by troopers from the State Police Milton Barracks.  

State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section (CARS), State Police Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS), Troopers assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Canton Fire/EMS Departments, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
