UPDATED: Private Bus Strikes School Bus Filled With Elementary Students

Ambulances were needed at a school bus crash Thursday afternoon; three students taken to the hospital.

A Framingham school bus was struck by a private bus on Edgell Road at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Framingham Public Schools bus, carrying about 3 dozen students from Potter Road Elementary and Stapleton Elementary was hit by a private bus at the intersection of Edgell Road and Brook Street.

Emergency personnel said three of the students were taken to MetroWest Medical Center, complaining of neck pains, as a precaution.

Framingham Police are investigating the crash.

The students on the school bus was leaving the two elementary schools headed to the Boys and Girls Club on Pearl Street, to drop students at an after-school program.

Editor's Note: Durham School Service has the Framingham Public Schools bus contrcat, but it was not one of their buses transporting students from Potter Road and Stapleton elementary, said a company spokesperson.
