UPDATE: Child Pedestrian Struck in Framingham

A child pedestrian was thrown 10 feet when he was hit by a minivan and has been transported to a Boston hospital shortly before 8 p.m.

Shortly before 8 p.m., a 4 year-old boy was struck at the intersections of Hollis and Claflin streets.

The child was hit by a minivan and thrown approximately 10 feet, said Framingham Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Burns.

“He was conscious and alert and appeared to have non-life threatening injuries," he said.

The boy was transported by an ambulance to Children's Hospital in Boston. This was a precautionary measure, said Burns.

“There was nothing obvious, but some times there are things that aren’t obvious," he said.

Police were on the scene conducting an accident reconstruction, said Deputy Burns.
