UPDATED: Framingham Police Investigating Armed Bank Robbery

The Santander, former Sovereign Bank, off Route 30 in Framingham, was robbed Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 the Santander Bank, formerly Sovereign Bank, on Whittier St. was robbed.

"A white male walked into the bank and handed the teller a note and indicated that he had a gun,"  said Framingham Police Lt. Frank Divittorio. "No weapon shown."

The man is described as about"5’4” with jeans, a gray hoodie, a baseball hat and a band aid on his nose," said Divittorio.

The "suspect fled in a vehicle, possibly a grey sedan or coupe," said Divittorio.

The Santander Bank, located at 5 Whittier Rd., was robbed just sometime 3 p.m.
