Massachusetts State Police are investigating the death of a Framingham man, 74, who traveled to Martha's Vineyard Tuesday and was found dead on a beach Wednesday.
A caretaker for a property in Tisbury found the man fully clothed in the surf at about 10 a.m. today, Sept 25, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The Framingham man had short cropped white hair and was wearing a blue Oxford shirt, a waist length, dark green L.L. Bean jacket, black sweatpants with a blue stripe and brown loafers when found on the beach.
"The investigation showed that he rented a car in Framingham yesterday morning, arrived at the Steamship Authority's Palmer Avenue lot around 10:45 am, got on the 12 noon boat, and was seen getting off that boat in Oak Bluffs. After that his whereabouts are unknown," Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Jeff Stone told the Martha Vineyard Times.
