UPDATED: Framingham Man Arrested in Fay Road Assault

Framingham Police busted down a door at a home on Fay Road Saturday afternoon.

A Fay Road man was arrested on Saturday, after nine police cruisers responded to a report of a domestic assault at 96 Fay Road at 4:31 p.m.

At 6 p.m. Randy B. Smith, 34, of 96 Fay Road in Framingham was arrested.

He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault simple hands and resisting arrest, on a warrant.

It is Framingham Police Department's policy not to comment on domestic assault cases.

Framingham Police busted down a door at a home on Fay Road Saturday afternoon.

More than a half dozen police cruisers, and police officers carrying weapons were seen on the road, according to residents. The Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit was also observed on the road.

Fay Road is located off Route 135 near La Cantina restaurant. Halfway down the Fay Road, it becomes Ashland.

Editors's Note: This is my road, but I was across town in Saxonville at a BBQ.

Framingham Patch contacted Framingham Police for more details, but had not heard back as of 8:45 p.m. Saturday.

Based on photos from residents, submitted to Patch, at least one man was taken into custody by police.
