A 48-year-old Framingham died Thursday, after his minivan struck a large boulder on Route 140 in Milford, near the Hopedale line.

The victim was Francois P. Pigeaud, 48, of Framingham, said Milford Police Lt. James Falvey Friday morning.

He had a weak pulse when officers arrived and was not responsive, said Milford Police Officer Paul Moffi. Hopedale Police were the first on the scene. The crash is just a few feet from the Milford town line.

The crash will be investigated by the Central Massachusetts Accident Reconstruction Team. According to Moffi, an initial investigation indicated there were no tire marks. The man may have had a medical emergency while driving, he said.

No one else was in the Honda minivan at the time of the crash.
