Natick Driver Strikes Mom With Double Stroller In Framingham Crosswalk

A reminder for drivers, pedestrians have the right of way in a crosswalk.

A Natick driver struck a woman walking in a crosswalk with a double stroller on Concord Street, near the courthouse today, July 10.

The woman driver, whose name was not available at this time, struck the pedestrian with the stroller, said Framingham Police Lt. Harry Wareham.

The car hit the mom, and knocked the stroller over, and the two children fell out of the stroller, said Lt. Wareham. The ages of the children were not available at this time.

The three all suffered minor bumps and bruises, said Framingham Police.

The woman driver said she had a green light and was attempting to make a left-hand turn, said Lt. Wareham.

The pedestrian still has the right of way in the crosswalk, even with a green light, said Lt. Wareham.

The Natick driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Framingham Patch received a couple of reports on the noon crash from readers, in which one witness said the driver may have been on the phone when it took place.

Framingham Patch will update when more details become available.
