Police: Drunk Dad Left Framingham Children in Gillette After Soccer Game

Framingham children refused to get into a car with their father after a soccer game because he had been drinking, so dad drives away with out them, according to police.

A Framingham man was arrested by Foxborough Police at Gillette Stadium after the Portugal and Mexico soccer match.

His children refused to get into the car with him because he was drinking and he drove away leaving them in the parking lot, according to police.

Foxborough Police found the Framingham father in the parking lot and arrested him.

Carlos Silva, 53, of Framingham was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol in the stadium parking lot after he allegedly left his children, reported the Sun Chronicle newspaper.

“The child told officers that he was warned in school not to get into a car with anyone who is drunk,” Police Chief Edward O’Leary told the newspaper.

The children were taken to a safe area, where a relative picked them up.
