Police say a motorist clocked at more than 100 mph -- in a 45 mph zone -- on Route 9 in Westborough led an officer on a three-mile chase into Shrewsbury early Sunday.

Westborough Police Officer Chris Atchue ultimately arrested Rafael Dasilva after stopping the 2004 Infinity he was driving near Ferrari Pools in Shrewsbury, Police Chief Alan Gordon said today in a press release.

Atchue charged Dasilva, 21, of 244B Hollis St., Framingham with speeding, operating so as to endanger, failure to stop for a police officer and operating after revocation of his right to operate.

Atchue was running traffic enforcement on Route 9 at Lyman Street around 6:16 a.m. when he registered the Infinity heading west and exceeding 100 mph, Gordon said.

Dasilva allegedly refused Atchue's request to stop.

Dasilva faces arraignment in Westborough District Court Monday, Gordon said.
