Quarrel After Strip Club, July 4th Party Leads To Framingham Man Charged with Stealing Car, $20,000

A Framingham man, on parole for armed robbery, was charged with stealing $20,000 and a car from a fellow July 4 party-goer, reported The Sun Chonicle.

Assistant District Attorney Amet Singh said Ramfis A. Medina of Framingham has a lengthy criminal record and deserved a high bail of $20,000. His previous charges include armed robbery, breaking and entering, larceny and drug offenses, he said Thursday in Attleboro District Court. The judge set bail at $2,000.

The prosecutor said Medina and his associate were returning home to Framingham after attending a July 4 party in Rehoboth and visiting a strip club, when the crimes took place.

Medina was operating the associate’s car when the two men began to quarrel, and then fight while Medina continued driving. The car hit a curb on Route 1 in North Attleboro, damaging the tire and rim. The friend got out of the vehicle, but Medina allegedly drove away with the car and $20,000 in the glove compartment, reported The Sun-Chonicle.

A witness told police Medina approached him at the basketball court at North Attleboro Middle School and offered him $50 for a ride to Framingham. The witness said he drove him as far as Medway, but refused payment because he said he suspected the large stash of cash Medina was carrying was crime-related, reported The Sun-Chonicle.

Medina is charged with larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering, vandalism, leaving the scene of an accident and operating to endanger.
