SLIDESHOW: Framingham Youths Graduate From Sheriff's Public Safety Academy

During the week-long camp, the cadets, ages 9-11, learned about "stranger danger," fire safety, cyberbullying and bicycle safety.

More than 100 kids from Framingham, Ashland and Marlborough graduated from the 14th Annual Middlesex Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy on Friday morning in Billerica.

During the week-long camp, the cadets, ages 9-11, learned about "stranger danger," fire safety, cyberbullying and bicycle safety. The cadets visited the Framingham Police Station for a field trip and spent the week with Middlesex Sheriff's employees and Framingham Police officers.

Yesterday, parents and family looked on as each cadet graduated from the academy. Speakers included Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, Framingham Deputy Police Chief Ken Ferguson, Marlborough Mayor Arthur Vigeant and Framingham School Committee Chair Beverly Hugo.
