UPDATED: Truck Takes Down Wires and Drags Man on Old Conn Path

A Framingham man was hospitalized, after being struck by wires, which were knocked down by a truck carrying a modular home.

The same wires also dragged the man behind the truck for a short distance, after the wire wrapped around the man's foot, according to first responders.

The incident, being investigated by Framingham Police, took place near 1000 Old Conn Path, around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9.

First responders said the truck caught low-voltage, utility wires (phone and cable). Once the wires came down, the wires struck the Framingham man, who was standing in his own driveway.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was bleeding from the head and legs, according to neighbors. He was transported to MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. His name was not released by authorities.

"The modular home convoy passed me on Old Conn Path just before West Plain Ave. going at such a high speed that I had to drive onto the sidewalk to avoid getting hit," said Maura Cahn to Framingham Patch. "I was a little shocked at how fast they were going on that windy section of road."

Framingham Fire Engine 2 reported the man was electrocuted, according to initial scanner reports before 3 p.m.
