UPDATED: Framingham Man, 21, Shot to Death in Car by Suspect Wearing Mask

Framingham Police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that killed a 21-year old man.

Officials are investigating a fatal shooting late last evening in Framingham, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Police Chief Kenneth Ferguson announced Thursday.

 At approximately 10:57 p.m. Wednesday, Framingham Police responded to report of a shooting in the parking lot at 15 Second St. in Framingham.  Upon arrival police discovered a male victim in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, Juan Lopez, who turned 21 in July, of Framingham, was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Editor's Note: There are two Juan Lopez who live in Framingham, both age 21, but the District Attorney's office would not release the address of the victim and did not have a middle initial for the man shot. 

Framingham Police and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause and circumstances of the shooting. Police believe that the suspect who shot the victim was wearing a white mask at the time of the shooting. A mask matching the description was later recovered in Natick by the Natick Police.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. However, at this point, authorities do not believe this was a random attack.

Framingham Police and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause and circumstances of the shooting.  Police believe that the suspect who shot the victim was wearing a white mask at the time of the shooting.  A mask matching the description was later recovered in Natick by the Natick Police.

Scanner reports had Framingham Police responding to Waverley and Second streets at 11 p.m.

Police were searching for a suspect but none was found. Scanner and Twitter had suspect wearing "Halloween-type" white mask and black sweater.

Twitter and Scanner had the mask found in Natick, off Route 135.
