UPDATED: Multi-Apartment Fire on Route 30 Tuesday Morning

Fire was showing from the home when crews arrived just after 8 a.m.

Framingham Fire Department battled a fire on Route 30 Tuesday during the early morning commuter hour.

The fire was reported at 209 Cochituate Rd in two-story structure with multi apartments.

Framingham Fire had the fire under control within a half hour.

American Red Cross volunteers are assisting a family of five adults displaced by a fire, said Communication Manager Ashley Studley.

"Volunteers are providing the family with emergency temporary shelter at a hotel, emergency funds for food and comfort kits (toiletries). Two family members are receiving additional funds for clothing," she said.
