1. If the weather cooperates, it will be a country theme for tonight's summer Concert on the Green. Concert starts at 6:30 at the Framingham Centre Common, featuring Amy Gallaton & Stillwaters.

2. Expect delays and road closures near Fountain Street and Dudley Road this morning due to the opening ceremonies of the The event starts at 6:30 a.m. at Farm Pond Park. Framingham Patch is covering the event and will have photos over the weekend and on Monday.

3. Under the direction of Sheron Doucette, the drama teacher, students at the Reagle Music Theatre Camp will perform
My Broadway Journey at 10 a.m. today at 617 Lexington St. in Waltham. Students, ranging in age from 8-15, from Framingham and other MetroWest communities will showcase their talents in a musical review. Tickets $10.

4. Today is National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day, which honors the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces, on the Korean Peninsula from June 1950 to July 1953.

5. Competition may have already begun at the 2012 London Olympics, but the opening ceremonies will be broadcast on NBC (channel 7, WHDH-TV locally) tonight at 7:30. The event is expected to feature an on-field British meadow and a performance by Paul McCartney. Many love to watch the parade of nations and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron. More than 10,000 athletes are competing.
