Assistant Town Manager Offered Sherborn Town Administrator Post

Framingham Assistant Town Manger David Williams has been offered the Town Administrator position in Sherborn, by a unanimous vote by the Board of Selectmen.

David Williams was appointed Town Administrator of the Town of Sherborn, per unanimous vote of the Board of Selectmen, subject to negotiation of a mutually acceptable contract.  

Williams has been assistant town manager, human resources director and chief procurement officer in Framingham since February 2010. At one time, he put himself in the running for the Framingham Town Manager position, but then withdrew his name.

Bob Halpin was hired as Framingham Town Manager earlier this year.

Williams has a Master of Public Administration, James Madison University and a BA, Public Management, University of Maine.

He was the first town administrator of West Bath, Maine, “Maine’s Smallest City” (January 2000- June 2003), and served as finance director, treasurer and collector for the same town.  He also served as Weston’s assistant town manager/director of finance and administration.
