Construction Continues on Lincoln, A and North Concord Streets and Edgell Road

Framingham Public Works division has issued an alert for state and local road construction and bridge work. The information below is provided by Framingham DPW.

Edgell Road – Lane Shifts: Construction crews will continue roadway reconstruction activities on Edgell Road between Central Street and Oak Street.  Construction activities will require lane shifts to the existing traffic pattern, expect delays and use caution while travelling in this area.   Construction activities are scheduled to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.


North Concord Street - Detour: To facilitate the deep gravity sewer main construction and pipe jacking underneath the Sudbury River Levy, a detour for all northbound traffic on Concord Street in Saxonville is currently in place.  All northbound traffic travelling on Concord Street will be detoured from Concord Street to School Street, from School Street to Cottage Street, from Cottage Street to Danforth Street and from Danforth Street back onto Concord Street; southbound traffic travelling on Concord Street will continue south on Concord Street. Click here for detour map.

Wickford Road Bridge: Wickford Road Bridge is temporarily closed for rehabilitation by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).  It is anticipated that the Wickford Road Bridge will reopen once construction is complete in the late Fall of 2013.  Expect delays while travelling in this area. Click here for detour map.

Winter Street Bridge Over the Sudbury River: 
The Winter Street Bridge over the Sudbury River will be is temporarily closed for rehabilitation by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).  It is anticipated that the Winter Street Bridge over the Sudbury River will reopen in the Fall of 2013.  Expect delays while travelling in this area.   Click here for detour map.

“A” Street: Sidewalk construction will continue on “A” Street.  Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.  

Angelica Drive, Currier Drive, Lanewood Avenue, Alan Street, Stanley Drive, Waveney Way and surrounding areas: The Highway Department will make geometric improvements to the intersection of Lanewood Avenue and Angelica Drive, adjustment to roadway structures, driveway aprons, and the application of rubber chipseal and traffic markings to Angelica Drive, Waveney Way, Stanley Drive, Alan Street, Currier Street, and Lanewood Avenue.  Construction activities are scheduled between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. 
 

Lincoln Street: Roadway construction activities will continue with layout work.   Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. 
 

Vernon Street and Oak Street: Roadway construction activities will continue with removal and resetting of curbing.   Traffic will be managed through the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. 
 

Police detail officers will be present to ensure safe vehicular and pedestrian travel.
